Senate President David Mark on Tuesday, expressed shock and sadness over the death of Oyamiefa, son of former governor of Bayelsa State, Chief Diepreye Alamieyeseigha, who was allegedly murdered in Dubai.
Mark, in a condolence message to Alamieyeseigha, the family and the government of Bayelsa State, said, “I share in your moment of grief. I sincerely sympathize with you and pray Almighty God continue to be with the remaining members of your family.”
He said it was painful that Oyamiefa’s young life was cut short by the cold hand of death in a foreign land, and urged Alaimeyeseigha “to bear this cross with a rekindled faith in God that we shall meet Oyamiefa at the feet of Jesus Christ on the last day.”
Mark, in another statement, described the late Chief Tayo Akpata as a nationalist, who lived for a viable and united Nigeria.
Mark in a condolence message to the family of Akpata said the deceased was a fulfilled Nigerian, who devoted his life to the service of humanity.
